Energy Abundance
I’m so excited to share this with you because this exact realization—and correction—is what saved my career in veterinary medicine.
I was exhausted. I was saying yes to everyone else. I was always available, pouring my energy into everyone and everything, leaving just scraps for myself and my loved ones. I hit a point where I couldn’t sleep, didn’t have the energy to exercise, and I knew something had to change.
So I got help—and everything shifted.
Since 2019, I’ve been teaching this work in hospitals, and I’m so happy to now bring it to you for non-medical RACE-approved credits inside The Evolved Vets Membership.
Let’s be honest—winter isn’t meant to be a grind-it-out season. It’s meant to be restorative, reflective, and intentional. The year of the snake is over, and the year of the horse is here—and it’s time to RUN toward alignment.

Research from Harvard Business Review, the World Health Organization, and occupational psychology consistently shows that sustainable performance comes from managing how you expend and restore energy, not from doing more in less time.
Here’s what the data tells us:

Burnout is caused by chronic, unmanaged stress, not a lack of resilience or passion (WHO). Translation: you don’t need to “try harder,” you need a new system.

The brain cannot stay in high-alert mode indefinitely. Prolonged fight-or-flight reduces focus, decision-making, empathy, and emotional regulation, all critical in veterinary medicine.

Intentional recovery improves performance. Studies show that brief nervous system resets throughout the day restore cognitive capacity, emotional steadiness, and problem-solving ability.

Energy management outperforms time management. Professionals who actively manage physical, emotional, mental, and purpose-based energy show higher engagement, better leadership, and lower burnout rates (Harvard Business Review).

High-acuity fields require recovery by design. In medicine, leadership, and emergency care, micro-restoration isn’t optional, it’s protective.
This isn’t self-care fluff. This is evidence-based performance medicine for humans.
